More than 20 years of training focused on vestibular neurophysiology and an interest in aviation-related hobbies gives him a unique ability to deal with complex vertigo and balance disorders. His array of high-end diagnostic equipment includes two large steel machines called Epley chairs used to treat complex forms of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV). Once a BPPV diagnosis is made, Purcell may use the device to maneuver the dislodged crystals out of the inner ear canals. The results for his patients can be life-changing.
